Can I bring my pet with me to my corporate apartment?

One thing to know is if you plan on bringing your furry friends, budget for a pet fee. The non refundable cost can range anywhere from $250-$500 per pet. 

Some of the apartment communities truly cater to dog lovers. They feature lavish amenities not only for you, but also for your four legged furry friend-hardwood floors, fenced-in dog park on-site, pet stations with bag dispensers throughout the community, dog wash stations and the yummy human and pet treats that are offered daily in the lobby.

Some things you need to know before you arrive:

1. Plan Ahead

Make sure your pet is up to date on all vaccinations, has a collar on with current contact information and even microchiped. Nothing can be worse then loosing your pet in a new city with no way to get in touch with you.

2. Let the corporate lodging company know they are coming

Confirm the pet policy before you reserve your corporate suite. Pet policies vary greatly from one property to another property and even communities that allow pets may have size limits or restrict the number of pets you can have in your furnished apartment They may also have a list of unwelcome breeds.

3. Choose the right location

You might want to request a room on the ground floor. You will, no doubt, have lots of gear to tote, so avoiding stairs means less schlepping — and a shorter trip to the door when it’s potty time. Furthermore, unless your dog is used to an elevator, that up and down ride can be a cause of stress.

In addition, a dog who jumps around or likes to wrestle with his buddy will be less likely to disturb the neighbors if you are on the ground floor. It’s also a good idea to ask for a room away from the elevator, particularly if your dog barks at noises.
